Helping Worthy Causes for
the Betterment of Society

About The Fund

What We Do

The Schillhahn-Huskey Foundation is dedicated to funding groups that are passionate about helping the environment, assisting in animal welfare programs, supporting children's causes, and adding resources to the treatment of brain-related diseases. We use the dandelion on this website as a metaphor for sustainability. This flower may be viewed as an undesirable element in a yard or garden, yet it has great ecological value and persists despite continual efforts to wipe it out. Like the dandelion prolific in spreading its seeds and creating growth almost anywhere, our Foundation seeks to help good causes across a wide swath of categories.

We have a great interest in protecting the Environment and promoting the creation and expansion of Outdoor Activities. Groups who focus on sustainability and ecological issues have a welcome ear with us.

The Schillhahn-Huskey Foundation is a reflection of our family values. We want to put our financial resources to work where they can do the most good for the causes our Foundation supports. The Schillhahn-Huskey Foundation has assisted organizations such as McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center, Chattanooga Area Food Bank, Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Bridge Scholars, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, and others. We are not limited to any particular organization or cause as a base of giving. We know that this makes the process of screening applications for assistance more burdensome. There are no defined boundaries on the size or scope of funding grants to be awarded by our Foundation.

Children are a Primary Focus

We strongly support efforts and organizations that aim to fill a need benefitting young people. Improving education, making sure children receive proper nourishment and access to healthcare all matter greatly to our Foundation. We also support programs to expand access to outdoor activities to enrich young minds with new experiences that shape their worlds for the better.

Submit A Cause

We encourage anyone with a good cause to contact us with a brief description of your project, your goals, and a basic plan of action concerning how you would spend a grant if one were awarded to you. We do not give handouts but are very eager to help people who are taking the initiative to help themselves improve the community around them. Take advantage of this opportunity to define your cause and how the Schillhahn-Huskey Foundation can help.
